Picking Yourself Up on Tough Days
I know this is coming to you on Monday evening, not on our typical Sunday schedule.
Last week was a bit of a tough week for me in terms of getting stuff done. I really had to muster up my energy for my work and my family.
I'm not exactly sure why, but that happens sometimes. Can you relate?
You experience a couple of missteps. Then you're running behind on your schedule and you feel like you're playing catch up the rest of the week, but you only have your self to blame...and so you do blame yourself -- harshly.
"Why couldn't I just remember to do that?" Or, "How could I have been so dumb about this?"
That kind of negative self-talk is a slippery-slope that can crush you if you're not careful.
You have to find a way to alter your mindset when that happens, so you turn things around and accomplish what need accomplishing.
It's not always easy, but I found a small practice that can help.
I wrote about it.
I'm making this week better than last. How about you?
