Last week I got to spend several days with my great friend, Dan. He’s the other half of our musical duo group, Gemini’s Rival.We rented a house and got together to re-record some of our old tunes from our hey-day back in high school and college when we were playing out quite a bit.

It was such a blast to step back into being young at heart…I mean, I constantly try to maintain a young at heart attitude, but responsibilities of adult life sometimes overshadow the wild abandon that is my inner youth.

Here’s my point, I didn’t even realize I needed that escape, or release, or rejuvenation, or whatever you want to call it, until I was there and in the moment...playing and recording music in my element with one of my best friends.It just felt right, it felt like home, it was energizing and entertaining – at least for us (I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time).

All of us in the world have been through a lot in the last several years. Many of us probably don’t even realize how much we need an in-the-moment-laugher-happiness infusion until we seek one out and lap it up.

That’s my encouragement for you this week. Find something fun to do with someone you really enjoy hanging out with, and make each other laugh until milk shoots out of your nose or you pee your pants. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
