Summer Project

Well, we made it through the school year. My oldest son successfully transitioned to middle school and finished the sixth grade, my youngest son completed kindergarten, and my wife, the educator, finished her school year too.

We’re all ready for summer, how about you? Today, in fact we’re road trippin’ to the beach, well, at least the best beaches we can find in the Midwest. I’m looking forward to a little R & R. It’s been a busy year. I feel like I have good momentum on projects at work, my music and art projects are rolling along, and my business partners and I at Eleven Music Career Center are beginning to see the fruits of our labor since the pandemic forced us to iterate on our business model a bit.

Besides getting to perform some music shows this summer, one thing I’m excited for is the summer project my family and I are embarking on.

My kids are realizing that the cost of everyday things like food and gas are rising rapidly. For some reason my oldest child seems really worried about it, so I said maybe our whole family can do something to help ourselves try and combat inflation by earning a few more dollars on the side.

So my family started a thing…

We all love to draw and create artwork, so we've created an online store to sell our artwork on various T-shirts, hoodies, and other gift items.

What's cool is our whole family - my wife, two sons, and me - will all contribute designs. 

I'm teaching my kids about entrepreneurship and providing a way for them to make a financial contribution to the family when their work sells.
