It’s good to take note of what work / activities / obligations energize you or drain you when you’re busy and prone to stress.When you can pinpoint what things give you energy -- pump up your inspiration and motivation, as well as those things that zap your will to live -- you can begin to formulate a better balance "good" and "bad," busy-ness. Or, at least you may be able to stay focused on the fact that the stress is temporary. This can help you to persevere with hopefulness to maintain the effort required to carry you through the current stress.As for me…

  • I’m extremely busy at work with a major project that will be revealed at our annual conference in early November. I’m also dealing with staff transitions that have left my team short-handed at the moment.

  • At Eleven Music Career Center my business partners and I are addressing some good problems to have (growing pains) as we begin to formalize our processes to help more music creators earn a sustainable income from their music business.

  • Regarding my own music…I have one final live performance on my schedule this year (see the updates below). That takes place next weekend. Then I have a bit of a break while I work with my other musical half, Dan, of our duo group, Gemini’s Rival, to finish up our recording project (it’s sounding awesome by the way. Can’t wait to share). Beyond that, I’m finishing recording/producing some of my own songs to pitch for ads / tv / film, which will come out in a trickle over time as singles. You can listen to my chase scene rock song, “On the Run,” which was just recently released.

  • Finally, I’m super excited to be doubling down on my artistic guitar building business. Most guitar lovers I know want an axe that is as unique as their own personality — a guitar that no one else has. That’s what I provide. I have several 1-of-1 guitar creations currently available for sale, and I’m beginning to do commissioned builds using my upcycled method.
