Summer is winding down as the new school year approaches for my kids and my wife, who is an educator. 

Another season transition always brings mixed emotions. In some respects I want to hang on to summer for a while longer, though I know it’s a futile endeavor. 

On the other hand, Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year with new beginnings, lots of creative energy, and a cozy sense of hunkering down to make things happen that will fuel one’s self through the winter.

Fall and winter is when I like to really dive into continuing education, i.e. reading lots of books to gain insight and knowledge I can use to grow individually and in all my endeavors.
