A Good Type of Exhausted

Summer is already getting busy.

It almost seems busier than when the school year is in full swing.

There are summer camps, summer school, summer birthdays, our wedding anniversary, I have several music shows booked and a

I'm involved in through an affiliation with a music career center organization. Not to mention staying ahead of the curve and proactive at my day job.

The thing is, while life sometimes knocks us back on our heels, it's important to reflect on the forward progress you are making (a quick note: life will always find a way to surprise you and push you back on your heels -- how you move beyond that is a testament to your character). Despite any setbacks, I'm on track toward accomplishing the goals I set for myself this year.

So, while I'm busy and exhausted and feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done -- personally and professionally -- I'm feeling energized about what I'm doing, the progress already made, and where things are headed.

Overall, that's the place I want to be: feeling energized.

Feeling energized enough to maintain motivation to do the work that needs to be done, and continuously building confidence as you experience victories from your actions.

And that energized feeling isn't just from being productive professionally, but more so from feeling personally and professionally aligned -- productive in my professional life, which helps me to feel present in my personal life, during family time  -- inclusive of the fun stuff and not so fun, but necessary stuff.

Where are you at with your goals this year? How are you feeling about wear you're at? Hit reply and let me know, and if you're struggling, let me know how, I may have some ideas to help.

If you're going to be around this weekend in Madison, WI and have interest in the music biz here, check out the

and check out the booth that will be home to the org

-- I'll be hanging out there on Friday June 15th.

As always, thank you for your time and attention.
