NickVenturella.com 6-11-21 - Hello summer

Hello summer

Lots going on. Warm weather is here, lockdown restrictions are lifting, and it seems everyone is anxious to enjoy the summer, myself included.

Hit reply and let me know your most exciting summer plans.

What are my exciting summer plans, you ask?

Well, I have a few live music performances that are already under my belt (thank you to all who came out to The Cider Farm and The Cambridge Market Cafe shows over Memorial Day weekend), a few more happening soon - one tomorrow in Wales, WI - and more being booked, so stay tuned.

June is always a busy month for my family - my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary, both of our boys have birthdays this month, and we transition from the school schedule to the summer activities schedule.

So far, this summer feels like it’s our collective first summer again. You know, when you’re a kid and you’re of an age where you can really appreciate summer vacation - it’s like that summer. It’s a renewed sense of optimism. It’s being positively overwhelmed with multiple options for how you will spend the long days of your summer months.

Like many, perhaps even you, the pandemic limited certain activities including lots of creative entrepreneurial business activities that hit the bottom line for many artists and musicians, myself included.

By no means am I asking for a handout, but I am trying to provide more options online and off, for those of you who find value in what I do/create to support those efforts so I can continue to bring you value.

That being said, I want to introduce some ways to continue to support what I do, so I can continue to provide value to you:

  1. Continue to subscribe and read this newsletter, and if you want share it with your friends (this is free to do, no cost to you)

  2. Follow, like, share posts I publish on social media outlets you frequent (this is also free)

  3. Listen to my music on any and all streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.). Just by streaming my music there I earn backend royalties and it doesn’t cost you anything.

  4. Instead of spending $5 on a fancy coffee today, tip that $5 to a musician you like, and stream/consume their music over and over - the coffee can’t do that (That musician could be me, or another musician you love - tips are always appreciated. Feel free to tip here.)

  5. Or...spend the $5 on the fancy coffee at a cafe that I’m performing at live and enjoy the music while there.

  6. Like unique, one-of-kind, hand-made/refurbished guitars to either play or hang on your wall as art?  Check out my Guitar Shop.

  7. For the visual art enthusiast, you may or may not know that my degree is in visual art. I have a lot of work I’m currently digitizing to sell as prints online. This site is a work in progress (more art constantly being added), but you can purchase an framed print or canvas print of my original work to hang on your wall, and these pieces could be great for area businesses, restaurants, music venues because I can take any canvas print and customize it to be a sound dampening panel (in addition to being a piece of art).

Do you have a creative business, or any business for that matter?  How can I and others support you?  Hit reply and let me know. I can share how others can support your endeavor in my next newsletter. We’re better together!
