The law of attraction is an interesting phenomenon.It’s the idea that the more you focus your mindset on what you want, or want to pursue, your actions start to better align with that desired focus and you begin to experience real results towards what you’re focusing on.

It’s just another example of how powerful mindset is when coupled with action.

That’s what’s been happening for me lately. 

However, it started as my youngest child began to grow beyond that all-hands-on-deck infant/toddler stage. I knew I wanted to dedicate more energy than I had previously been able towards music pursuits -- writing, recording, and licensing my own music as well as helping others interested in music with the business and entrepreneurial side of earning income from music.

Enter:  the law of attraction.

I started focusing on simply practicing guitar/singing. This getting into a regular practice routine again started a few years back with the goal of getting back to performing live shows following the hiatus-to-grow-and-nurture-a-young-family (that’s still happening -- my kids aren’t that old yet).  

That small action was a big victory. It had to be fit into a booked daily schedule of full-time work, daycare/elementary school drop-offs and pick-ups, planning around my wife’s work and her night school graduate degree pursuit, oh and you know actually spending quality family time together.

Then, I booked a few live performances, I met some other like-minded musician entrepreneurs and we started Eleven Music Career Center, and I’m now working to license my music for Ads, TV, and film and growing my musical connections.

This, again, amongst a packed daily schedule. Then you throw a pandemic in the mix and it gets even harder.However, I wouldn’t change a thing. The reason is because I’m focused. I know what I want, or at least the direction I want to go and I’m pursuing it.Yeah, there are obstacles in the way, things to figure out, twists and turns -- there’s never an ideal time to start moving towards your most authentic self -- but if you get your mindset focused, the law of attraction will prevail.
