Q1 Goal Check
We're almost done with the first quarter of the year. How has it been going for you in life and business this year? (Hit reply and let me know.)
What are your goals for this year? Did you break them down into quarterly, monthly, weekly, even daily milestones? If not, why? How will you know you're on track if you don't have a way to measure your progress -- even an informal method?
I don't bring this up to make you feel bad if you haven't been tracking your progress, it's simply to help you think about how to make incremental improvements that positively effect your desired outcome.
Reviewing your progress is an action motivator. Think about that. If you reflect on your progress and things are going well it creates motivation to continue what you're doing toward your goal.
If you review your progress at a regular interval and you find you're not on track in the way you want hopefully you're motivated to figure out how to get things on track, even if that means pivoting within your original plan.
The point is you won't know if what you're doing is working or if you need to pivot unless you make an effort to regularly check in with yourself.
When you make a point to check in with yourself you have to be prepared to be motivated by whatever you find so you can take the appropriate action to keep on track toward your goals.
It's important to work
on
your business, not just
in
your business. I encourage you to work
on
your business this week. I plan to do the same.
Thank you,
