Get Healthy to Stay Positive

3/17/24

Top of the mornin’ to ya!

Okay, that was my best Irish accent for this St. Patrick’s Day. Sad, I know. Sorry, if I’ve offended any truly Irish people. Have a Guiness on me.

I do hope you’re well. I say that now that my entire family is finally getting over a nasty flu bug that we all got at the same time – no fun.

It’s extremely hard to get things done when you’re sick, and harder still when you’re a parent trying to care for your kids who are sick while caring for yourself.

But the world keeps spinning, right?  The rest of the world doesn’t rest just because you’re sick or you need to take care of your sick kids. That’s a tough, harsh reality. So how do you deal with it?

You just have to let go.

You have to  let go of things that maybe need to get done, but they’re not emergencies. You have to give yourself grace and space to get healthy again. Most often getting sick is very temporary in the grand scheme of things. Not too many things are truly going to fall apart over the course of a few days or even a week (even though in our minds we’ve built it up to think it will all come down).

The point is that you need to concentrate on getting your kids and yourself healthy again, so you can tackle the work that needs to get done. And yes, you’ll likely have a backlog of things to address once you’re healthy to make up for what you weren’t able to accomplish while sick, but if you’re healthy it’s much easier to deal with.

If you don’t slow down enough to get yourself healthy you’re going to continue to struggle with getting things done, and it’s just going to feel like the world is out to hold you down. That leads to more and more negative thoughts that will compound on themselves. Get healthy, get positive and allow those positive thoughts to compound on themselves to create momentum that can carry you through anything.I always like to hear from you. Hit reply and let me know how you're staying positive and (safely) celebrating this fine St. Patrick's Day.

Recently sold several guitars from my Etsy shop. I've reduced the price to move the inventory I have and make room for new builds I'm either working on or have plans for.    ----------
