Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day.

Love is a funny thing.  You can love people in your life. You can love what you do for a living. My hope is that you have love in your life for both of those things -- people who are meaningful to you and the work you spend a lot of time doing each day...

...and hopefully in the in that order -- people, work.

Like anything that you might love, their ups and downs with it. Some days are good some days are not as good, but the over arching power of love's optimism is motivation to keep striving to be better for the other person you love or the work that you love.It's about having a deep passion for someone / something beyond yourself.

I'm grateful, this weekend I got to spend some good quality time with my two boys and my wife, and today I'm cutting this newsletter short because the grandparents will watch the boys while my wife when I get to have a date.

My advice this week for you is to take stock of the people you love and do something meaningful with them, even if it's just hanging out together.  Work and everything else that occupies your mind, even if it's something you do love to do, will still be there tomorrow and the next day so be sure to make time for the relationships in your life.
