An affirming gift

The December holidays are upon us. I hope your holiday shopping and/or gift making is completed so you can sit back and enjoy the holidays with just a bit less stress.

I know the holidays are not always joyful for everyone, so if you’re feeling you need some emotional support feel free to reply to this email and I’ll do my best to provide you with a positive message.  

Here’s an affirmation from me to you to start you off, and I do believe this:You are valued, you are important, your life has meaning even when you can’t see it or understand it. You will never know the amount of positive impact you’ve had on others, but if you care for yourself and others even an ounce, then I guarantee you have made a positive impact on others.

I am a big believer in legacy. I want to leave this earth one day knowing that some of the positive things I’ve done or creative expressions I’ve put out into the world may live on past my life to benefit others, even if it’s only in some small way noticed by few people. 

To have a lasting, positive impact on even one other person is worth getting up every day for. It’s worth working hard to give your best to the world each day. (I know that on some days this is harder to do than others). 

Your consistent attempts each day lead to gradual improvement over time and that gradual improvement begins to compound on itself until you look back and you see the new path you’ve paved that didn’t exist before you came along. That’s meaningful. That’s magical. That’s all you.

Be a gift this holiday season. You have an opportunity to be a positive gift to yourself (be kind to yourself) and to others (friends, family, and even strangers). ‘Tis the season.
