The Importance of Fun with Family and Friends

Yes, I know it's not Sunday today (the day I normally send out my newsletter to you), but I thought I would at least be late than not send one at all.I spent the weekend in St. Louis, MO, visiting with a lot of extended family, some I hadn't seen in a number of years.  We were all gathered for a wedding.  While the trip was a bit of a whirlwind event over a weekend (travel into town, go to the wedding, meet up with some more family on the way out of town and finally head home), it's worth it to keep those ties…tied. The great thing about good friends and family is that it really doesn't matter how much time has passed since you last saw one another, everyone is just grateful to be together in the current moment.  With that approach it's easy to simply pick up where you last left off -- no ill feelings that one party didn't keep in touch well enough with the other. It's important to embrace opportunity in business, similarly.  When it comes your way, be grateful in the current moment and flow with the momentum of the opportunity.  If it's fleeting (and it often is), be gracious about the time you had. Keep working toward the next opportunity, which will surely come your way.  That next opportunity likely may not find you in the same way, or at a time and place you might be expecting, but, like old friends and loving family, when you see them again embrace them with open arms, thoughts of a positive outcome and you won't be disappointed.Have a great week!

Thanks,
