Thank those who have provided you opportunities

So we just celebrated Thanksgiving Day a few days ago.As is customary with this holiday we reflect on what we're thankful for.For me personally, I decided to focus some time and energy on publicly thanking some people in my professional career who have been instrumental in providing me opportunities that I was able to capitalize on for the benefit of my career success.I wanted to thank these individuals because without their providing me an opportunity to prove myself I wouldn't be where I am today. You can read the post I published on LinkedIn here.Regardless of what you believe no one reaches success truly on their own. There are always others directly or indirectly involved who help you reach your achievements. So if you haven't already, I encourage you in the next week to thank at least three people who have been helpful on your employment or entrepreneurial career success. Not only does this give you the warm fuzzy feeling inside, but it can really brighten that other person's day. Usually because your thoughtful sentiment was unexpected. Why else is this kind of relationship recognition important? Those who have helped you in the past are likely your biggest fans, and they are willing to help you now and in the future.Asking for their help when you need it is made much easier when you've maintained a relationship when you don't actually need something.Looking for referrals for your business?  Have you maintained good relationships with former bosses or past work colleagues? If they're familiar with your good work and they like you, they're going to be more willing to help you with referrals when you ask....and this is a time of year when many are pushing hard to the end of the calendar year to capture as many sales as they can...so thanking those who are already your biggest fans may be a pretty easy and small investment in your future success.Thank you for your attention!I hope you have a great week!Sincerely,Nick Venturella nickventurella.comgrowloop.comnickvmusic.netAutismHR.comP.S. In lieu of having something to sell you for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, if you're so inclined I would encourage you to promote and share my AutismHR.com website with anyone you know affected by Autism who may be seeking an alternative income to traditional employment.
