Happy October!  Also, Fall is here...at least in my opinion, Oct. 1st equals the official beginning of Fall.

I’ve shared before that Fall is typically a creative time for me. I tend to crank out more creative ideas and projects as a wave of creative energy shifts with the weather.

So far, this Fall is not disappointing me on the creative front.  I’ve just written two new song, I have about 4 new guitar builds in the works, I’m cranking out good work in my marketing day job, and Eleven is on the cusp of some fun growth.

I’m also extremely exhausted.

Today’s newsletter is really a public service announcement (PSA):  Take time to slow down. If need be schedule down time where you’re not to be disturbed, and you don’t do anything but meditate, read a book, or rest your eyes (aka known as taking a nap).

Unfortunately, it’s all too easy to run yourself ragged these days. There is no shortage of things to get done at home and at work. Understand though, that all of those things on your seemingly infinite to-do list cannot and will not get done in one day...And that’s okay.

Pick one critical thing that has to be completed today, and focus on completing that. If you get that done in record time, potentially pick one more critical thing to get done today. Then schedule yourself a half-hour to veg, meditate, read, take a walk around the block...just relax.

Give your brain space to reflect and recoup so you’re ready to take on the next challenge.
