How to Find Beauty in Chaos

Chaos often breeds beauty. This last week was a very hard week for me. I would even say, emotionally chaotic and stressful. But out of that stress and chaos, I embraced my music as an outlet for that stress, and I began writing a new song which helped relieve that stress. Then I wrote another verse to a different, unfinished song I've been stuck on for a while. I worked out the arrangement for yet another song that's mostly finished, and started working through the initial melodies for another song that I'm hopeful will begin to take more shape soon. This is a collection of songs that go together well and could turn into a new album project for me, which is exciting. My point is, artistic beauty started emerging from the chaos of emotional stress, and those songs will remain a positive outcome while the stress will likely be forgotten in a short amount of time as a result of displacing it with something positive. This is the power and balance of gratitude. While it sucks to be stressed out I'm grateful to have a positive outlet to transform my stress into cathartic music I'm proud to have made. Music I can share with others who may relate and appreciate it, further extending the value of that music. At that point the positivity has legs, and it far outweighs and outlasts the negativity that forced it to emerge in the first place. How have you been changing chaos into beauty lately? What beauty is emerging for you? Hit reply and let me know. -------------------------------------------Quick note:I'm speaking to the Young Nonprofit Professional Network (YNPN) about Goal Setting and my Provision Journal on Tuesday evening January 30, 2018.I'm honored and exciting to share some of my knowledge and experience.  You can check out the Facebook Event here.  Take care, and have a great week!
