Create Momentum
1/14/24
I took some time off for a bit, so this is the first newsletter of the new year. Happy new year!
I feel like things are already charging full speed ahead this year. How about you? Hit reply and let me know what your biggest plan or goal is for this year.
For me, I’m looking to build more guitars, write and record more music, and infuse my creativity into more projects both inside and outside of my day-job work.
I’m super grateful to always end up getting great books to read as gifts from the holidays. This year was no exception. I’m right in the middle of Rick Rubin’s The Creative Act: A Way of Being, and I’m excited to dive into Lessons for Living - What Only Adversity Can Teach You, by Phil Stutz, who is also the author of The Tools.
It’s important to find ways to consume new information that can get your brain’s gears turning. That’s often how you connect dots between concepts and ideas that spark inspiration and motivate you toward action to create and make your mark in this world in a way that only you can.
If I had to pick a word to be my theme this year, I think it would be Create. That’s probably a word for me at any and all times, so maybe it’s Momentum.
By being ready to create more I’m providing myself the fuel for more momentum. I’m emerging from the low valleys of last year and am gaining momentum to make a rise to a new peak this year. This makes me feel I’m in a position of strength.
In terms of creating, I have some great ideas for new guitar builds. I’m currently working on a cool Godzilla-inspired guitar. You can follow my progress building it in my YouTube channel.
That’s another area of creation and momentum. I’m looking to use more video to create and share stories, music, insights, and progress on creative projects, so feel free to check it out, like and subscribe if you want.
With that YouTube channel, I’m hoping to also share more of the messages that arise out of this Investors Club newsletter. The Investors newsletter itself is exclusive to you who subscribe to it (it’s not fully available anywhere else on the internet), however, I’m looking to expand my reach and intrigue new subscribers to my newsletter, so I want to experiment with sharing bits of messages out on my YouTube channel to reach more people. You can help me reach more people too, by forwarding my newsletter to friends you think could benefit from it, and encouraging them to sign up here.
That’s it for now. There will be plenty more to come. In the meantime, tell me what you plan to work on this year. Hit reply and let me know. I love hearing from you!
