Hi , I’ve been traveling a bit lately and keeping plenty busy learning and applying new sales and marketing concepts, so you may have noticed that I haven’t reach out to you in a little while. It was not my intention to be gone so long. I appreciate your patience. However, in my time away from you, I developed a new ebook product based on a recent talk I gave to a group of residential real estate agents. You can learn more about my Business Planning & Digital Marketing Strategies for Residential Real Estate Agents ebook product here. Speaking of planning, that’s what I really wanted to talk to you about today. As we near the start of the 4th quarter of 2013 it’s a good time to dedicate some thinking power toward what you want to accomplish for your business in the next year... Things to ponder might include: What has gone well so far in 2013 in regard to your sales and marketing efforts? Do you have an idea as to why? What is it? Does it make sense to continue these efforts next year? What hasn’t panned out as expected in 2013? Do you have an idea as to why? What is it? Does it make sense to continue these efforts next year? How might you approach things differently to improve them? What do you know better now than you did a year ago about your business, about your target audience, about the perception of your brand in the market place? How has your business refined itself and it’s processes to run better and serve your target audience better? How do you want your business to grow in the next year? What annual revenue goal would you like to strive for next year? What process improvements would you like to make for next year? How will that help you scale your business to grow what you’re doing? What do you envision success for your business to look like at the end of next year? What does that mean for you and your family/loved ones? Now is really the time to begin planning for next year’s success, so when you ring in the new year you’re ready to hit the ground running. Some people like to use vision boards to visually represent, with pictures, what success will look like to them. Then the idea is to keep that collage of images representing your success nearby on a daily basis to review it and stay motivated toward your goals. I recommend a web-based software program to create such vision boards and also to schedule and manage tasks toward reaching your goals. GoalsOnTrack is a task and goal management software that visually shows you your progress toward meeting your goals and allows you an opportunity to create, and regularly review vision boards. The idea is to help you stay organized, motivated and accountable toward reaching your goals. It’s $68 per year and accessible via the web and your mobile device. At the least I encourage you to take a half-hour to answer all the questions I listed above as a starting point for your business planning for next year. Thanks for being a part of the GrowLoop community!
